Wow! Secret drawers in a couch!  :o  Now that is cool. I've never seen one like it. I'll be interested to hear what the others have to say on this one!

That sofa is a keeper!!

Agree on the money suggested.  Additionally, the covering looks very clean and appropriate to the sofa.

Nice to see such a real beauty!!

Well I just had to search out some more pics of empire sofas (now that I know what they are), came across
this and just couldn't resist. Found it quite attractive.......un til I got to the 'feet' and went off in a fit of giggles.

Is it just my quirky sense of haha or do they strike anyone else as a little 'off'?

Hint:  start at the top, take it all in on the way down, then   :o

Bizarre!!!!  Those feet are a little over pronounced!

I just have never seen a sofa with the drawers.   Really like that!!!!

gaar, how did you now that there were drawers there?  Is this a piece that has passed down in family?
Are the drawers spring activated?

My girlfriend can't stand bed knobs. Can't manage to walk past the end of our bed with out practically fracturing her patella.

I think those feet would be the end of her, or me if I owned it.

passed down from grandparents
loved the drawers when I was a little kid..secret stuff you know
there is a small hole in the rosette inlay to pull open.. not spring loaded
piece in KY and I am in WA state--to big for me --looking to sell and trying to find a value
needless to say there is not much like it to compare and my grandparents were fine collectors--had a lot of very fine pieces

Oh, what I'd do to have a sofa like that! D&B said about $1,400. That's so amazing to me, seems like something that beautiful and old should be worth more. You'll probably sell it really easily in Seattle, if you are close to Seattle. I am down close to Tacoma and it'd be pretty hard to sell down here.
