Antique rolltop desk questions
« on: May 05, 2010, 02:27:27 pm »
ok going to try posting a few photos, hopfully this works :-\
This desk was my Grandpas, he used in his shoe repairs shop in the 1920s but had it before that.  Dovetail drawer & simple design, lighter wood, has orginal keys to locks.  I can't make out the stamp way in the back of one of the slots and there was a sticker in the lefthand drawer.  Stamp in back looks like Riverside California.  Sorry pics a blurry my camera doesn't seem to want to take a clear close up ???
I may have to sell it, just curious as to who the maker was and what it may sell for?!  Any info is helpful and if you need more photos let me know.

If I may make a suggestion, try putting your camera in your hand and slipping your hand/arm into the slot where the manufacturer's info is printed, wait a few seconds for the camera to focus itself as you depress the shutter button, then take the photo. You might need to get a kid to do this for you if the slot is very narrow.
