Luggage/warehouse dollie/cart
« on: May 13, 2010, 09:10:58 am »
I came across this beast and just wonder if it has any value.  If anyone can shed some light on it, I would certainly appreciate it.

Thank you,
Greg

It would help a great deal if you posted any manufacturers' marks & such .

With tounge-in-cheek here , I will comment that these did have some value , as to the learning curve ... these are why most loading docks today use pallet jacks & forklifts !

Welcome to the forum , by the way , reniegreg !

Funny coincidence, but one very much like yours just came up for sale on the SF Bay Area Craigslist tonight. They are asking $100 for it:

Reniegreg, your dollie is the typical design of a "feed dollie" that was used for moving 100 lb. sacks of feed between the storage room and the loading dock.

They had the smooth, sharp like plate at the bottom and tilted backward so that one could slip it easily under a 100 lb. sack of feed and then pull the top of the sack toward them and it would lean against the dolly in an upright position without falling over.

I really like the dolly.  Not sure what one would do with it, but that's OK.  I've got lots of stuff I don't know what to do with.

Sure do like the looks of it!!

Good find!!

Craiglist it!

I have one that a guy installing my A/C's several years back left here at my home.  Called and left msgs for him to come get it....never came back.  Great for moving those great big pots/plants around and moving in for the winter.  Lent it out several times as well.
