I have a soup tureen/buffet covered dish marked on the bottom Colonial Sterling China and has a stented date in the 1800's.  Does anyone have any information about this brand/maker?

:huh: j&g meakin  england is the pottery. made in 1970. value $75.00 to $100.00 dollars for the pair.
