I found a big container marked Doulton & Watts which after some research turns out to be the humble beginnings of Royal Doulton.  Watts left in the mid 1850's and the company changed to just Doulton & Co so it is definitely pre-1850's.  Problem is the markings don't match any of the known markings for Doulton & Watts and I'm stumped.
It is ~ 2-2.5 ft tall, I'll measure it tomorrow if it would help to have an exact number.
There are no visible markings on the bottom.
There is a "3" marked on the body, opposite of the Doulton marking. (see picture)
There is a Doulton & Watts Marking on the Top. (see picture)
Pictures are taken with a cell phone, if you need high res photos don't hesitate to ask.

Here's a site than can explain it better than I can.    After Watts death in 1853 the company changed to Doulton & Co. - explaining why the Watts is missing from your one mark.   Looks like the top may have been a "new" invention they patented instead fo using a cork.   This site has some of the more common stamps.

The 3 is for the size, just like on American Pottery.

"Early Doulton marks, prior to the 'royal' designation, include, but not limited to: Doulton & Watts, Doulton Lambeth (such as the markings on our bottle), Doulton & Co.
The standard impressed mark of the Doulton & Watts partnership c 1820 - 1854 was Doulton & Watts, Lambeth Pottery, London."
