Napolean's army ceramic figurines
« on: April 04, 2004, 12:26:08 pm »
I've come across some (set) figurines of Napolean's army. Has Napolean and his Generals standing and some on horseback.  Marking on bottom is in blue and has a crown with the letter N beneath it. Some of the figurines have printing inscription on bottom of figurine. Some have an X.   Numbers 671 are also on the bottom. Any idea of the worth of these figurines. These have been passed down from the 50's I think.

Hi,

As I didn't see the mark I would like to opt in that the 'crowned N' mark was copied by other manufacturers quite often, especially in Germany.
Take 'Ernst Bohne Soehne' and 'Albert Stahl & Co.' (both located in Rudolstadt, Thuringia) for a start ...
