myott and sons co.
« on: September 08, 2010, 10:08:29 am »
Hi all,
I am new to the site and was looking for a bit of info. I have been given a set of dinnerware that was bought at an auction. It is from myott and sons co. I have been looking all over the internet and I havnt been able to find any that looks the same as the pattern I have. If someone could give me advice on how to find out what pattern I have that might help me in my search. I am working on pictures in case someone would like to see them.

hclark without photos  can not help track your pattern so if you could post some front & back would be great.  This could be a tough one to track. In 1949 a fire at Myott Son & Co’s Alexander Pottery, Staffordshire witnessed the unfortunate destruction of valuable pattern books and records that, not only deleted a veritable bible of information and design, but was one of the contributing factors for Myott's somewhat stunted growth within the realms of Art Deco, antiques and collecting. You could try searching www.replacements.co m

Yes thats the one I found on the replacement site. I have that piece plus 77 more. Now to figure out what to do with them.
I had originally started on the myottcollectorsclub but they had a joining fee just to ask questions in thier forum so i went here instead.
