Mauser-Werke
« on: October 29, 2010, 01:27:02 pm »
Okay time to post a few myself....

My uncles gun that he got when shot down in WW2 behind enemy lines.....  Any ideas comments.....

Nothing on right side of gun. Left side says: Mauser-Werke A.G Obernforf a.N. Mod. H S c Kat. 7.65 mm
On left side under trigger whole there are several small lines and three numbers which are either 135 or 155.

Immaculate condition - kept up all these years.
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!

Here's a website about the Mauser HSc.  You need to find the full serial number.  See the instructions on the website to see which run your pistol might have been made in.

If you are interested in selling it, you will need to consult the laws of your state.  In most states, you can only sell through a certified dealer.  This dealer can also give you a good idea of its value.  If it's a war-era model, and has ORIGINAL holster and spare clip, it might be worth in the $600-800 neighborhood.  Waffenampt is apparently the premium run.  Post-war models are worth less.  Any alteration from the original will also make it worth less.

Good luck!  A nice little pistol there.

Nice little pea-shooter , KC !

I've owned a couple of these & like Tex said , they're tack-drivers .... low recoil & just plain fun to shoot !

I have to get it out and take a good look see....took these pics a couple of months ago.

My uncle was shot down in Normandy on July 27 and was picked up near Utah Beach several days later.

Any ball park figure of value?
