How to use search function here?

Just curious how? I can't seem to get to the box with the Ads at the top?

I have the same issue and it drives me crazy. But it usually works when I am in a specific section. Not on the main page. Like, if I'm in the Antique Questions Forum.

Works fine for me as long as I am in any subcategory such as the questions forum, but it doesn't work from the main "Antiques!" page.

It bugged me too until I got off the main page and then saw the whole search.  I use it from time to time to look up old posts.

Yep that bugged me in the beginning...but then I learned it wouldn't go behind the ads on the other pages.  So, I decided....don't sweat the small stuff.  I am glad don'tbe can get advertisers and make some money back on this FREE SITE to try and cover a little bit of what the site is costing him for all the years of fun/adventure for me!

I agree, KC!  I think many of us forget from time to time that this great forum we use frequently is free for our use because of dontbe and the advertising.

I'm not sure how much dontbe is paying but i get hosting pretty cheap. Like $4.00 a month for unlimited bandwidth and storage space.

I don't either but he has toted the note for YEARSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SSSSS and finally got so popular that he got advertisers to jump on the site!

Either way....when I am happy - the family is happy! 

I think I typed it wrong above....the home page's search shows up behind the ads whereas the search shows up fine on the forum/threads, etc.

Yea, that's exactly what happens to me..

It doesn't really matter what dontbe is paying, us users are paying nothing for a great forum and great info.

Only reason i mentioned it is to maybe save some money. I seen someone mention bandwidth...
