A question from my mother in law

My husband says it was new, he says it was exspensive then. I added a better picture of the drawer. They turned out to be hand nailed not screws. The drawer looks brand new. It's amazing.

Do you think this is a copy from a earlier time period? It looks very similar to the Queen Anne set. Is it a copy of that furniture or is that furniture the same time period? I know in the 30's and 40's tthey copied the 17th and 18th furniture. Such as this clock, I wish it were real, but it's not. This clock is worth $850.00 and the real is worth $7,000.00 Darn!, lol Is the set worth $5,000.00 or is it more or is it less? Or, is it only worthwhat someones willing to pay for it?

Much was copied during that time. And yours might be as well but I think that your set was made by a prominate company at that time. Its construction shows quality. At least from what I can see. I would not stop looking for the maker. Price wise, I can only speak for my area, and here you could probably get $5000. easy since its a complete set.

I'm haven;t gave up yet. The problem is it's really heavy and you have to becareful of the hard woods moving it. The bureau has a matching mirror that sits on top. I would like to pull it away and see what's on the back. I just have to talk my husband into helping me.

I moved the dresser today. The mirror said N. Goodheart, but when I looked it up, there was a salesman from Missori or someplace not near me. Now I should have taken a picture, but I was praying you knew the name.

The only reference I have come across that relates furniture & the name Goodheart    TELOS FURNITURE, LLC..

The design & Styling, is French. late 1930's or 40's certainly of American Manufacture. present value would be in the $1,200.00 Dollar range.
