new find, brass chandelier, 1920's ?

This chandelier isn't cleaned up yet. It need to be rewired too. It was from an old house on Pine st.

Looks great Greenacres.Do you have the glass or have any idea what the original glass looked like?
I love the uncleaned look BTW.Makes the detail stand out.
Is this by chance the same house that you scored the sweet stained glass window from?
Nice find.Can't wait to see it in action.

No, that was near Girard Ave, and this is Pine st, It was more sophisicated area. I'm not sure if there was glass. At first I thought it was gas originally, but my husband says that he thinks they were switches for individual lights. If you can see the switches. I reall have to see how it works yet, but I love the tassel that hangs from the center.

My husband told me the demo man took a door that was worth thousansds of dollars. He already had it sold, plus the mantles and everthing else that wasn't nailed down. My husband has to go back to doing his own demo. I can't take it. Either that or I'm going in the demo business, lol He said the lock on the door alone was worth good money. He said the door was huge with beveled glass. This house was elegant in it's day.
