HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOSMAN!

She has been known to impersonate women from another era.

Right on time mariok!
The picture that wayward posted was created through a site that tales posted in the "Antique Talk" section of the forum. They are fun. :)
Plans for today are to visit my favorite antique shop (which I haven't been to since early December) and maybe a movie. Thanks for the birthday wishes guys and gals.

Thanks again everybody! And great picture, sapphire. It's a redhead girl, too! I dragged home a few small items from the antique shop, including a cast bronze shaving mirror. I love love it. My mom bought it for me, I told her no more presents.  >:(
Anyways, I got home to search ebay for more and I found a TON of my exact mirror. Some of them honestly look like repros. Either repros from back in the day trying to copy mine or modern repros. And quite a few of them are cast iron. I'll post pics of mine later, I'm heading out for more shopping and and a movie. But I'll post a link to an ebay one like mine in a second.

This is the closest one I have found to mine, I think it is exactly the same. Except mine isn't cast iron. A lot of the others are different and another one I found looks really terrible. I'll find it again later.

WOW, I feel smart! It actually is cast iron, a magnet sticks to it. It looks and feels nothing like cast iron. None of the plating has worn off, except around the mirror. Which I aready knew was tin or steel. The patina is great and really green in places, even on the inside. Crazy!
