If by 'Replica' you mean a modern reproduction made to look old, then I don't think you need to fear on that score, I would say that it looks fairly original.The markings could easily just be the maker's way of remembering which drawers matched which cabinet, but in the absence of any other markings then finding out who the original maker was might prove impossible.
Over here (in the UK) these have really taken a dive, price wise. A few years ago they would cost anywhere in the region of £200+, but like a lot of brown furniture they can now be picked up quite cheaply. I was recently tempted by one at a local Antique Centre that was only going for £50. I still love them. Prices in the States may be very different.
