Hello Gary, and welcome to the forum.

What size is it? Is it cap badge size? Does it have any markings on the back at all? Is there a pin/clasp?
It seems to have been quite crudely made, but that doesn't mean a great deal other than perhaps mass produced.

Fairly certain it is Nazi (maybe). No markings, and it is on a cap (garrison style) it is attached to the cap with a nut style clasp, just screwed on. Never seen anything like that. If you need any other info, and or pictures I will be glad to post them. Thank you for your reply!

It does look German but Google images did not show a badge like this. I am with mario on it being a bit crude but maybe that is just from all the verdigris.

Third Reich did have skull/crossbones and griffins.....
Russia used double headed eagles but had different items grasped in it's talons.
The Cossacks also used double headed eagle/crossed swords......

Does this appear to have something in it's mouth? OR is it the tongue sticking out?

Wondering if it is more modern?  It would help answer alot of questions...please post a picture of the back of the item!!!!!  The clasp will help date the item as well!  There is so much made these days that is trendy.....

There was a private society group at Yale......
Scottish Rite used a double headed eagle....32nd Degree Eagle Pendant......
And lets not forget the Masonic symbols.....

Countries that use double headed eagle

I also have a few other items, not sure of the value or anything, but I just like knowing what they are. See images below.

Thanks guys just happens to be in my area of interest, the other cap is trying to be a Waffen SS Model 43, but as with the pins is most likely a reproduction, the front button is wrong but could have been replaced.
