Old Henry L Hanson Tap & Die Showcase. Help!
« on: May 08, 2011, 03:07:39 pm »
Hey everyone, thanks for taking your time, and looking at this item. This is my first post, so i dont know what to say! I have this old 1949 Henry L Hanson Tap & Die slanted glass showcase. It has 77 Dies in it but no Taps. The back opens in two places; The top spot opens the glass section, and the back opens to store things inside. On the back spot that opens, it has the Custumer prices of the Taps & Dies.  I do not know if your allowed to ask value on here but anything would help! Thank you!!! Luke

No one that I know of collects taps and dies. These are useable items and are still sold virtually unchanged since 1949. The case is interesting but most collectors want great graphics. The value of your case is whatever each die is worth plus about $20 for the case.

Antique screw plates would be a different story.
