Antique Periscope Dont know anything else about it

Hello I have no information on this at all and im hoping someone here can identify it. it Has a Placard screwed into the bottom, but it is really scratched up badly. What little I can read offered me no help through google.

The only things I can make out are top left "Beua" Top right "Jena" Underneath Jena There is a C-1, underneath the C-1 I can barely make out a 46, and finally under the 46 theres the number 60

The Optics still work, Looking through the eye piece i see a simple crosshair.

Thats all I have really, Ive included pictures and really look forward to your replies!

What size is it? I have no idea about militaria, but the first thing that sprang to mind was part of a tank periscope....

Im hitting the books, but what are its dimensions?

3 1/4" Long
2 3/4" Tall

The eyepiece is about 6" around


Base measures 1 1/8th" wide and about 1 3/8th" long and is rectangular

Seems small for a tank !!

Its a German boresighter device, would have attached to a rod or tube that would be inserted into the barrel to make sure everything was in alignment, much like what we use today to sight in scopes on rifles.  Cant tell what it was used on without the tube for caliber guesstimate

Could be a Carl Zeiss piece.  I know that his company was named Zeiss Jena Optics or something to that effect.  He died in the late 1800's though.

Id say since its made by Zeiss  if it came to me at a show probably retail $100-200 to that particular collector that does optics, since its weapons related and WWII German,,that helps
