PLEASE HELP!! Galaxie Organ
« on: May 10, 2011, 01:30:31 pm »
I have a Galaxie Electronic Chord Organ. Ive looked online many many times to find information on this particular model which i believe to be a 975 model. It looks identical to the 890 model but instead of having a foot pedal it has a knee lever. Id like any information on this piece due to wanting to sell in the near future. Any help would be great!! Thank you

Actual company name is Magnus and you have a Galaxie Chord Organ made by Magnus.

Magnus home page http://www.dbeconline.com/magnus/  quote from their site: "In the 1960's, Magnus introduced their famous Electric Chord Organs to compete with Hammond.  These are still considered Reed Organs, the name was changed to Chord Organs because the included playable chord pads unlike their older siblings."

Organ Model Numbers and Information:

Model 975   NOTE:  Don't know if you are the same person....but feel if you were you would have these identifying tags/stamps on your piece!

Thanks for the reply back KC!! To answer your question i am not the same person. I have viewed that persons pics before posting on here and it seems both of us are having the same problem with finding information as to an exact date, rarity, value ect ect.. Ive looked in a model list for Magnus organs and this model is not listed anywhere that i have come across. His has a model number stamped onto the back of it but mine lacks it. Any chance you know of someone or somewhere that would know more about these? Again thank you for your reply and all the useful information you post on these fourms.
