Does anyone know anything about this monkey?  It doesn't have any markings on it at all.

To me, it appears to be a newer item made to look old. Can you post a picture of the bottom? What is the material?  Welcome to the forum!

There are no markings at all, the monkey itself seems to be almost like plaster (like a cast like material) and the box he is sitting on is wooden.  I know nothing about antiques or objects of this nature.

Ok I am going to date myself !!  The monkey looks like one that was on a TV show in the 50`s.  I think the show was called "Circus Boy"  A well known character actor, whose name eludes me at present, played the boy`s uncle !! I watched it as a kid !!  But I may be thinking about a different show since I watched all that were on Sat. mornings !!  Hard to remember what is what at my age !!
