Silver Ingot

Silver ingot found in attic.....made of silver with raised pix of maiden and unicorn in front of holly bush.  Ingot is circled by guardsmen, each with an offering ( flute, sword, food, etc.) Two guardsmen have engravings, one is METZKE, the other is the year 1878 ( I think. or maybe 1978?).  Can anyone tell me the origination or value?
