old Cincinnati furniture company?

We bought a nice little desk for our grandson. Someone has tried to remove the manufacturer's sticker from the back; I'm not sure why. We are curious as to its age. It's a very sturdy piece.

It seems to read:

The J---- Tennerc
Cincinnati, Ohio

The name of the desk maybe "The Citation"

I did a Google of J Tennerc, J Tennerco, John Tennerc, etc. of Cinci but was unable find anything.

I do not think the typed name is that of the maker but rather who it was shipped to or sold to. The printed label info that is mostly missing would have been the maker of the desk and their address. IMO.

I guess that is possible, but I don't generally get stuff sent to me with the word The in front of my name.

It is just a lost cause with that much of the label missing.

Agreed wayward. I think the top of the label was possibly the retail establishment that it was shipped to for resale rather than the company that made it. Does look more like a shipping label than a normal company label. Note the "Case No." The bottom portion also appears to say "From" which was probably the company. Cute desk though!
