Teapot Info~Value

[Laahja]

Have an authentic gold covered teapot with the markings on the bottom as (boner or bonar and bavaria under this; inside of a sort of triangle shape object. It was a gift while in Germany back in 1970. According to an older German gentleman.. gold alone worth approx. $500 and feels it may be a very valuable item due to no date stamp, etc. Appreciate anyone who can help with info on the teapot. and thanks for the spelling Chris - -  and Laahja, thanks for pic.  If the whole set is like this it has to be breathtaking to see it displayed.

Note too, on that further up on the page are other studio decorated pieces, and there's references to a book, "Dresden Porcelain Studios" by Harran.

In general, from web sites I visited, the porcelain blanks may well be marked with a Meissen mark, which the decorating studios, which were plentiful, and mostly in Dresden, covered over   <_<   .   Chris, being in Germany, do you have access to that book?  

As for prices, I'm not qualified to do an appraisal.  Not at this level.  I don't have first hand knowledge, nor have I ever seen in my area, anything approaching this set.  But as I "googled" ---------these are valuable, and lovely items.
