Didn't we have someone thinking of 'buying' this lot?

It's a little irritating now. You're using an informational website for free advertising. Go advertise somewhere else, even our members aren't really supposed to advertise their stuff for sale on here...

I'm with you there, I like this because it is not clogged up with people trying to sell.  If we did, I would be posting 5 items a day.  I could understand it a bit if the person was at least a active part of the forum, but this guy has only posted this and runs off, guess he has got lots of forums to post on.  He has never even responded to any of his post, just post and run, and in a couple of months he will post again, kinda rude for sure.   P.S.  anyone want to buy all my Antiques ?   $100,000.00  buy it now, you pick up gots lot of junk or I mean cool stuff.   ;D

This is just MY opinion, and I'm speaking for nobody but me. The problem is, for me, I don't like people assuming that I am stupid. The first time you posted on this forum it was to advertise your lifelong collection that was 'ALL' up for grabs. Then, this June, you start a thread passing yourself off as someone who is thinking of buying a very similar collection.

I was browsing on ebay looking for some antique clocks and I came across this person selling an entire estate in one lot, im interested, but, what do you think its worth? I dont want to spent 20 or 30 k, theres just so much stuff and most I have no idea about.

here is the link

Now you are back again as someone selling 'All their antiques'. Forums rely upon the goodwill and honesty of their members, and I don't see much honesty nor goodwill coming from you, I'm afraid.

I assume that when you have sold 'All' your antiques you will have time to make some positive contributions to this forum, or is your collection cornucopic, as I suspect it might be?

What gets me the most is that you are dishonest. How rude is it to post and say that you are thinking of bidding on the lot when you are the SELLER? Very rude to treat us like idiots. If you have so much experience with antiques, how about you answer some questions that fellow members have and give some advice. Then we may not care about the occasional advertising. But to lie, well that's just plain frustrating!  >:(

Edit:
You beat me to it mario!

What's also funny is that they are being dishonest and lying on the #1 antiques forum on the web! Not good for business, nobody's gonna trust you! Now your ebay name is here for everyone to see. Might want to think about setting up a new ebay account. ;)

No need to feel badly , in the event you've posted innocently (IMO) , theeoldpoet1 ..... there's plenty or great folks here who'll correct many assumptions by members posting here .

I will say that I've been to many estate sales through the decades , with tremendous #'s of items (much , much more than what you're putting up for sale) , so your claim that it's 'like no other ever seen' may be misleading .

Hope you do well with the estate sale , theeoldpoet !
