So, I had my auction up on ebay, guy tells me he will give me $30K for it and end the auction, so I did, then, He dissapeared, SO I re listed it again, "Now keep in mind it took me 3 months just to make the listing" Well, a guy in NY Wins the auction, this is the second one, and then, guess what? He dissapears wont return Calls. I dont understand people sometimes... I put so much work into this, time, effort, and I am selling all my collections as I have run low on funds..

HOW CAN WE BE PROTECTED SELLERS ON EBAY??

Wow!  That's an impressive collection.  I have no idea why people bid and then disappear.  Hope you have better luck with the next buyer.

What surprises me is that you get bidders willing to bid thousands for items they can't authenticate, feel, smell, certify, verify, or otherwise view in person. Looking at pictures of piles of stuff just doesn't cut it in my opinion.

I hope you blocked the no bidders and filed non-paying bidder reports with eBay.

First off your ad is very professional and impressive. In my opinion with a collection like that I would bypass ebay and go straight to an auction house with high rollers. i know they will clip ya for a percent, but with your collection....I think the sky is the limit. Also keep in mind the higher the bidding goes the more ebay will clip ya for. As far as being protected as a seller, there is no such thing. These dreamers and scammers are always messing it up for the real people on feebay.

Just for info, theeoldpoet posts about these lots on eBay from time to time and wonders if he/she should bid on them.  The regulars on here do not put much stock into what theeoldpoet posts because he/she keeps the truth about the auctions secretive as to ownership.  Wait...did someone cry fire in the theater?

Since my first visit here I have had nothing but respect and admiration for the wonderful members who take the time to answer questions, give advice, welcome each and every new member and add their own personal touches to their posts and responses.  It's the best place to come for both information and sharing. It's also likely the only place where you can trust members when they give you information, answers or advice.

IMO this garbage (not my original expression) does not belong in a place that has proven itself over and over to be a wealth of information and willing, sharing  members.
