Anyone Familiar with this Silver Hallmark?
« on: August 07, 2011, 05:45:31 pm »
I came across this old set of flatware.
It is marked with HAS A1 inside of a shield shaped hallmark.
It is also marked Stainless G Silver
Does anyone know of this company?
Thanks a million!

It isn't silver...I can tell you that much.  It is G Silver or German silver whicht is not silver at all, but an alloy of nickel, copper, and zinc.
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!

I just went through my books of Hallmarks from Silver and Silverplate marks and not luck.  I have seen that mark before though.   The pattern is a tipped pattern, that has been made since the dawn of flatware.  Being they are stainless and the old Tip Pattern, I would assume these are Hotel Ware.
