Does anyone know about these lamps?
« on: August 16, 2011, 07:33:17 pm »
Hello. My Grandma acquired these in the 1950-1960 range. Can anyone help shed some light on their worth or orgin? Any help is appreciated.

They look like Murano

Can`t see glass well enough to tell !!  Form is similar to some I had from the late 30`s - early 40`s !! Has it been rewired ?? Can you get a better pic of the glass ??

I would have to agree with mart on about the age, from the looks of the pic, Looks Late Depression or Mid Century in Style.  It appears to have bubbles placed in the glass, a bit unsual for the glass being a common maker, like Fostoria, Fenton or etc.

I tend to agree these do appear to be Murano   They did beautiful work with controlled encased bubbles in glass like this.    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310338413330

Blenko is another big name in Bubbles in Glass, but pretty sure this is not theirs either.
