Last weekend my mother was getting ready to put these two lamps out for a garage sale. She says they belonged to her Great-Aunt and she had them when my mother was a child. Oky Doky..... I rescued two lamps.
BODY: 6" tall / 9" including socket
BASE: 2.5" X 2.5"
STAMP: Victoria Czechoslavakia (green) with crown above.
: 262 also stamped in silver
I was able to find the makers mark on Collectorscirlce.co
m which indicates the lamps were made sometime between 1919 and 1945. However, this is all I have been able to find on them. Apparently Google does NOT know everything or I'm lazy. Anywho......
When packed away, several years ago??? they both worked. As long as I can remember, they have worn white shades that looks like possibly of the Wal-Mart-ish variety.
Can anyone tell me a little more about them? Did I rescue something decent or were they headed to the right place? I'm a noob so be gentle. OH, and i obviously not a
photographer either. LOL
