HELP!!!
« on: September 19, 2011, 12:08:53 pm »
Hi

My husband and I recently inherited a whole bunch of things from his grandmother, who was somewhat of a collector. I have no idea what they cost or how to sell these. I know she was pretty good and some of these items can be worth a lot. I was able to obtain some info on the things that have names, however, still not sure of the prices. I am going to upload some pics.

Thanks for any information
Adelina

Pic 1 is the Luftwaffe Model #2 WW2 German Dagger framed
Pic 2 is the Limoges Atelier du Tabalou vase

Atelier du Tabalou is the studio name !!  I am assuming they were the designer of this piece and did the artwork !! I looked at several pieces from the same studio but they were more ornate that your vase !! Can I ask the size of the vase ?? Sizes , marks, ect  are important in determining value !!  Will also help if we have pics of entire object, front and back !!  Like the knife,,we need it out of the case if it has one, lay them side by side and then turn over and do the same. then close ups of details like the handle with swastika !!

Any markings also!

Looks like youve got an officers dagger there.. I cant tell you the value but the markings are right. The fittings should all be silver plated. LOTS of blades came out of Solingen during WW2, but since its an officers dagger Id think yours would fetch a decent price to a collector. I think the twisted wire inlay in the handle would make it an even more desirable piece, the other one Id seen didnt have it
