question about value

I have a silver flatware canteen that serves twelve made by Thomas Turner and company (Sheffield Engalnd) appointed by the late King George V. There is a seal with lions and also a seal that says"The King John Canteen".I have tried to find out what its value was for quite sometime as it was passed down to me by my grandmother a few years ago. Any information pertaining to my inquiry would be greatly appreciated.

Other than a reference to Thomas Turner & Co., as being silversmiths in Sheffield, England, I discovered nothing about the company.

There's Sheffield, and well, there's Sheffield.  It's all good, just that the old type Sheffield is better.  I'm enclosing a bit of history here:

If this were mine, I would find a jeweler to determine if it is Sterling, the Old Sheffield Plate, or the later 1800's "Sheffield Plate" that is electroplated.  However it turns out, you have a lovely treasure.   KB
