It could very well be another "corn husker" that was made by a blacksmith.
A good blacksmith could make something like that in 15 minutes or less.
As a kid, I use to go frog/fish gigging a lot with a carbide light ….. and using those cheapy made “wire” gigs I would buy at the hardware store for 35 cents or so …… which were always bending, breaking and tearing up iffen I hit a rock.
Now I was kinda crying to my Dad about those cheapy gigs and he says …… “Go over to Pat Friends and tell him I said for him to make you a gig that you won’t be tearing up every 10 minutes”.
And that’s what I did posthaste …….. and in less than 45 minutes after he had a couple more drinks of whiskey and fired up his forge, …….. and with a smile on his face Pat handed me something that looked almost identical to this, to wit:
