hey, have a small question. Next week I will at the auction and thus have a good idea to place a bid on an image and a Lalique object. The picture is by artist John Moore from Ipswich (1820-1902). Was wondering what the picture might be worth and what kind of bids I should add me. Also has a question regarding a Lalique figure I'm considering to bid on. How can one say with certainty that this is an original R.lalique and not a copy. And if it turns out that this is a genuine Lalique, what would it be worth? Sending with images of the objects.
Thanks for your reply :)

First with a piece of Lalique I check to see if the piece in question was actually produced by Lalique-- this piece in your photo was it is called Leda & the Swan approx. 1960 next you will need to become familiar with how Lalique signed pieces. Handle the piece see if quality is perfect and has some weight. At auction in this market I would not pay more than $200.00 for an original Lalique Leda & the Swan. As far as John Moore from Ipswich  they can run from $300.00  to into the thousands.

This is very similar to your Lalique peice. It's very close to what Wendy is saying price wise.

Make sure you check the signature on the art work !!  And get a COA on it !!  It may not be much money but you want to know that its authentic !!
