« on: December 15, 2004, 10:54:32 am »
I have just aquired an antique Singer Sewing Machine with the serial number of #G6258087.

Is there a resource where I could find the date of this machine and any other information?

Hi! The phone number you need is 1-800-474-6437.  This is for the Singer Sewing Machine Company.  They will tell you were your machine was made and when.  Mine was made in Elizabethport, NJ in 1913.  Here is something worth thinking about, if you have the original sewing machine cabinet, be warned they used a lead based varnish.  My son got lead poisoning from mine.  I just wanted to warn you of that fact.

Here is a site that might lead you to other information as well:

Hope you enjoy your machine.

Hi, again.

Here is a site from Singer that you can get the manual for your machine once you have the model number:

I forgot it the first time.
